About Wangara
Helping People Get More
From Their Planning Tools
We are a small training centre in Subang Jaya focused on one thing: helping everyday users in Malaysia feel at ease with the software they use to organise their money.

A Training Centre Built Around Real Users
Wangara started because a gap was visible. Many people in Malaysia own smartphones and laptops, they download budgeting apps, they set up spreadsheets — and then they stop using them after two weeks. Not because the tools are wrong for them, but because no one ever walked them through the actual steps in a clear, unhurried way.
Our founders — who had backgrounds in adult education and software support — wanted to do something about that. They rented a small space in USJ, Subang Jaya, put some tables together and ran a Saturday workshop. People stayed afterwards to ask questions. That told them what they needed to know.
Since those early sessions, Wangara has grown into a structured training centre offering three distinct programmes. The work is still the same at its core: sit with someone, show them the steps, let them try it on their own device, and answer questions without making them feel foolish for asking.
Our Mission
Clear Software Knowledge for Everyday Life
We believe that understanding how to use a planning tool well is a practical skill — learnable by anyone, at any age, with the right guidance. Our sessions are not about finance theory. They are about the buttons, the categories, the export function, and the monthly review screen.
We aim for every participant to leave a session with something that actually works on their own device. Not a certificate. Not a workbook full of notes. A working setup they can open at home that evening and use.

How We Work
Standards We Hold to in Every Session
Data Privacy in Sessions
Participants are never asked to enter real account numbers or sensitive data during training. We use sample data in all demonstrations.
Structured Session Plans
Each programme follows a written plan reviewed before every cohort. We do not improvise the core content — you get the same quality each time.
Post-Session Feedback
Every participant receives a short feedback form after their session. Responses are reviewed by the co-founders and used to refine content each month.
Accessible Pacing
Sessions are paced for learners who are not technical. We pause for questions, repeat steps on request and never move on until the group is ready.
Printed Reference Materials
All step guides are prepared and reviewed before printing. We check that instructions match the current app version before each new cohort starts.
Participant Data Handling
Contact details collected at enrolment are used only for session management and follow-up. We do not share participant information with third parties.
Software Training That Fits Around Working Life in Malaysia
Most people who come to Wangara are not looking for investment advice or financial planning theory. They want to know how to set up a budget category in an app, how to read the monthly summary screen, or how to export a report so they can share it with a spouse or an accountant. These are specific, learnable tasks — and they are exactly what we teach.
Our location in USJ, Subang Jaya, puts us within easy reach of participants from Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Puchong and other parts of the Klang Valley. We offer weekday evening sessions and Saturday morning workshops so that people with regular office hours can still attend without taking leave.
The tools covered in our sessions are chosen because they are widely used, accessible on both Android and iOS, and available at low or no cost. We do not partner with any software developer and we do not receive referral fees. Our only interest is that participants leave knowing how to use whatever tool suits them well.
Wangara keeps cohorts small on purpose. A session with eight people gives each participant far more practice time than a seminar with forty. Questions get answered in the room, on the day, with the trainer watching and ready to step in. That hands-on structure is something we consider non-negotiable.
